If we want your oil, we'll take it

The President's move to not cycle oil into the US reserves was symbolic and grandstanding. The reality is that if the country ever comes to a security crisis where oil is of a concern, domestic consumption will halt and we'll take whatever oil in the world market we need, and by whatever means necessary.

Most likely this will entail "asking nicely," but don't be fooled, if we NEED your oil, we will take it.
