What could you do with an extra $200k?

Pay off your mortgage? Add some capital equipment to your growing business? Expand your business to new territories with a couple of new employees?

Well Thurston County had a prosecutor who didn’t work a day for 2 years and was paid for it. Now she is suing the county for more lost wages.

Without getting into the merits or more appropriately the lack of merits to the case- I’m pretty disgusted at people who want to jack our taxes “for the children” and then turn around to see employees behaving unprofessionally and later are rewarded for it by remaining on the public payroll for YEARS and never work a day.

Before taxes- these employees received from the county, the equivalent of an after tax immediate payout of a 1 million dollar lottery win. Remember this the next time the county wants to jack property taxes.
