UN is extending "piece getting" mission

translation: "Our guys are getting a lot of sexual favors in exchange for allowing terrorists to rule Lebanon. Pulling out would mean having to find another way to burn American money while accomplishing nothing. This is much better than raping women trying to avoid genocide in hell'n'gone Africa."

Question: wouldn't Social Security be viable if we cut Kofi's bribe allowance?

Mark Shattuck: Dark Horse in the 35th

While most have their eyes on the Democrat primary of Sheldon v fruitloop tribal favor Lucas in the 35th district, the GOP has overlooked a potentially terrible strategic play of events: No candidate to run against the special favor candidate if Sheldon gets eaten alive.

Suppose fruitloop tribal favor Lucas beats Sheldon in the primary? In the past that would have been highly unlikely. However, with the new rules for primary elections, voters cannot cross party lines on the upcoming ballot; thus incumbent Sheldon will get almost no help from conservatives who care about other GOP races. He's pretty much on his own to face the liberal cannibals of the 35th eating their own in the primary.

Though it seems pretty clear the vast majority of voters in that district not owning a firecracker stand would not vote for candidate fruitloop tribal favor Lucas, if she wins the primary, voters will have to chose between her total nonsense and the GOP candidate (even though the GOP machine is content to leave Sheldon alone to focus on other races).

Enter dark horse candidate Mark Shattuck. Mark called me late this week to let me know he was throwing his hat into the race. I've known Mark for about 2 years through various political efforts. He was one of the many who testified for (D) Senator Kastama's Shared Parenting bill this winter and is pretty versed in our county GOP platform. He was also one of the few who represented Thurston County at the state convention this year, which isn't easy to do if you actually work for a living.

Mark is no novice to politics. He's held a couple of local offices in the past, but is otherwise a no name to the political machines. I have to say that his filing may have been the stroke of genius that could save voters of the 35th from a catastrophe. If you are REALLY a liberal, you're going to love to watch Mark debate some pretty important issues and I encourage everyone to take off their party hats when that happens. As I said, he was one of many who testified for the Shared Parenting bill this past session. Anyone versed in those arguments understands the difference between liberals and Democrats. If you're not, just follow the money trail and see where it leads.

Although strategically, Mark's presence in the race will not be fully comprehended by most of us until after the primary, I'm glad he's running and wish him the best.

The Zero actually breaks a story!!

Miracles do happen.

Surprise surprise, there are two sets of rules, one for the ruling class and another for the ruled. The GMA and rezone is going to screw everyone who owns land EXCEPT those with close ties to government. Come on- this isn't the first time we've seen this go down with the county.

Look at all the shellfish boondoggles and the health department. Suddenly rich people who lease beach rights from other rich people are "farmers" and the "neutral" citizen review board consists of beach owners and shellfish farmers. The county's track record speaks for itself.

Special rights update

The pro-gay Gregoire power base suffered a set back today. The Zero and every other rag has it in glorious detail.

Most of us could give a rat's ass about what gays do. I fall in that category. More and more I am falling in the category of voting for folks who will shut them down. No- I am not a bible thumper (very far from it actually), but I am sick of having the rage of gays who are so insecure about their own sexuality shoved down our throats constantly while other important legislation is passed with shoddy review.

When it comes to equal rights for gays legislation, I've seen first hand these groups are looking for special rights, not equal rights. They would have you believe that a lesbian mother in a divorce is entitled to joint custody of a child she has no blood relation to, but a biological father should be erased to 2 weekends a month (or less) with a vindictive financial support burden.

For these reasons I say 'tough potatoes' to gays today. I'm not sympathetic. You've screwed yourselves, not only for shoving your rage down our throats, but also because your fan club is also all about sticking it to dads in custody battles. In the latter case, the children are the ones who really suffer.

Take a letter Maria

Why is Cantwell campaigning on problems she created? Saving the voters from Enron? Maria, Enron screwed us on your watch. You’re a lot like the fireman that sets houses on fire to look like a hero for putting them out.

I'd say re-elect Cantwell- if the office she were running for is liberal reporter.

The only thing Cantwell has going for her from the conservative's perspective is she represents small government (ie she has done pretty much nothing during her term except point out the obvious from DC). It's the conservative's dream of small government. The problem of course is we need someone in DC to get us road dollars; a task Maria has performed well below average on. Something to think about while that 9 cent a gallon gas tax sucks you dry.

Gregoire takes voters for idiots, sends invoice to DC

The stupidist PR move in state history.

Christine, you had the chance to send the National Guard to the border at minimal cost to the state and you chose not to. You ACTIVELY CHOSE TO LET BULK SHIPMENTS OF METH INTO OUR STATE AND BLAME THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. This is political sabotage at its worst.

Instead of coming to the table with solutions, you'd rather have meth shipped up here from Mexico by the truck load. Thanks to you, our meth problem is now homegrown AND imported. Not to mention all the other pleasant gifts Mexico sends to our state.

Did you and Fox have a highway 420 moment and charge your lunch to the Underhills in the cabana next door too?

Debunking the federally funded gender nazi’s [propaganda] and the supporting media

There was some interesting wording in a the Zero’s article on a woman under investigation for stabbing her husband to death in Belfair.

Note the interesting description; "the couple" had a history of domestic violence issues. This is apparently how it gets phrased when the wife is beating the crap out of the husband and eventually murders him.

Look at the annual Washington State Sheriffs’ reports on DV for the past couple of years. Only a fraction of the cases of DV homicides fit the wife beater stereotype, yet there is a TON of annual "violence against women" federal funding put in place to perpetuate this stereotype and to give lobbying money to the various underbelly organizations that thrive on it.

Correlate that data with child abuse statistics and the gender nazi's are in for a rude awakening to the reality of violence; Women per capita are the abusers of children 2:1 over men. Pretty damning statistic eh?

As a realist, I don't pretend that DV does not exist and unlike crazed feminists with a bone to pick, I won’t vilify either gender as more likely to abuse. It would be nice if the femi-gender nazi’s would join reality and stop pretending the definition of DV is a male hitting a vulnerable and defenseless female intimate partner. It is comical how they will spin every murder by a female against an intimate partner into “self defense after years of abuse.” It is not so comical how they ignore and exclude all other real victims of intimate violence, while creating a trump card for divorce attorneys to encourage their clients to lie about DV. The truth is that often it’s adult children killing their parents as well as the woman wielding a butcher knife while chasing her husband on the lawn in a bed sheet (BTW I’ve seen this exact incident unfold twice in homes next to job sites in my days of working construction). My understanding is that child abuse/homicide is NOT listed or categorized as DV in reporting. In other words, murdering your infant is not DV if you are female. More timely to today's news, leaving your infant to die in a garbage bag is not DV either.

But admitting violence outside of the stereotype would cause an end to those federal dollars and political suicide for the current powers that be. What would they do without the perfect villain and the perfect victim? The part that is extremely alarming is that the statistics on child abuse show women to be twice as violent as males when it comes to children. Isn’t it curious how we have a “violence against women” fund which vilifies males in every piece of literature, but no “violence against children” fund?

If there were such a fund, who do you think they could vilify and still be politically and statistically correct?

The devil wears a t-shirt to Las Vegas

Here's your instructions for a free cab ride from the airport to your hotel on the strip at Vegas. It helps if you put the cab authority phone number into your cell phone. It's posted in the cab line at the airport.

For work and for vacation I end up in Vegas at least once a year. I usually stay on the strip and as a rule I don't instruct the cab drivers on which way I'd like to get to the hotel unless they ask directly. I do this because I like to see good vs evil play out.

From the airport, about 90% of the time, the cabbie will ask if you've been to Vegas before. I always say "a time or two." They are in fact feeling you out as to whether you really know where your hotel is. If you answer less than two times in your life, you'll probably get taken for a 30 minute ride on the freeway before returning to the strip. I like to play the devil for sport; its absolutely the best entertainment there is.

In case you are not familiar, the airport is about 3/4 of a mile from the strip. It's about a $10 cab ride to the majority of the hotels on the strip (including tip). If you get an honest cabbie you should tip him better and thank him/her for not giving you the run around.

I was quite surprised on my last trip when the driver didn't even ask, he just drove right onto the freeway! I let him do the run around until we were a block away from turning into our hotel (the Luxor) and asked him what landmark was 3/4 of a mile away if we were to go right at the next light. He played dumb for a minute and I answered for him "THE AIRPORT."

The next line is where you ask if he would like to explain to you and the cab authority at the hotel drop off why it's a 20 mile cab ride on the freeway from the airport to a destination 1 mile away when there is a direct road connecting the two points.

If this happens to you, your cab ride is free at this point. I gave the guy 10 bucks because I don't like to be vindictive. I'm pretty sure if I were a mean person I could have had him paying me 20 bucks to not turn him in.

Gregoire's thrive by five, or how single parents create a tax burden from the get go

Governor gets behind program to offset what happens when state courts eliminate one parent from the family equation; ignores giant elephant she placed in the room.

Every study on the subject shows kids with one parent SUCK in school. Rather than getting behind a novel idea of giving kids a chance with shared parenting legislation, Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire blows some money on a program to compensate for the crippling effect of having dad elminated after conception.

Christine, most of these kids will fail and drop out of school because you and the far left feminist kooks in your party placed them in the hands of one parent instead of two. Kids need parents, not income redistribution.

In other news tonight a New York man blew up himself and his house after New York divorce courts ignore the law and confiscate a home which was actually seperate property under State law. Like I did with Darren Mack, I condemn the actions of this man, but does anyone by chance see a trend here? I'll surely condemn the next 100 cases as well, but wouldn't it be better if family law were revised to treat everybody equally?

Bend over taxpayers; Christine’s buddies need more of your money to boil the ocean

Last week it surfaced that the Taylor Shellfish company was working to boon doggle Pierce County residents to harvest shellfish up there. Keep in mind, once this happens every resident in the county will be on the hook to make sure those beds are harvestable (aka corporate environmental welfare). It was no surprise to find that the Taylor machine is also on the payroll of the Gregoire machine and vice versa.

The line these crooks gave in Thurston County: “No one has the right to pollute someone out of business” with regards to ramming through the Henderson Inlet Septic O&M program. Nice logic, but it had little to do with the tax and regulation imposed. The net result; every homeowner in the watershed pays an extra $30-80 bucks a year in property tax to support a FTE over at the county in order to collect the money and print permits so people can legally flush their toilets. No enforcement and no new data. The county also used some other slimy tactics such as scheduling CAO hearings on the same nights as the septic O&M hearings to prevent residents from objecting to both boon doggles at once.

For those oblivious to the process of what this money pays for: the health department gets to charge taxpayers for information that is already collected from septic pumpers. The real kicker is that septic pumpers already pay an annual fee for the privilege of reporting this information. ALL THE COUNTY HAD TO DO TO FIX THE WATERSHED WAS LOOK AT THE DATA THEY ALREADY COLLECT!!! It is the ultimate in taxpayer screwing. Kenneth Lay has nothing on these crooks.

Taxpayers of course had their say; well at least the ones who lease their beachfront to the shellfish companies. A special committee to create this plan was formed and consisted of environmental extremists and those on the shellfish farmer’s payroll as well as reps directly from the shellfish companies.

Now more of Christine’s buddies are looking to cash in big to boil the ocean free of pollution. Given that this is an election year, Christine and the democrat majority took a hiatus from raising taxes. Since 2007 is an off year, expect them to double down on what they did to us in 2005.
