Remember the politcally motivated study the UW is releasing to thwart 933.
Bad move UW. Bad move. One has to figure they didn't really count on the back lash from the folks that butter their bread on the broader spectrum. I understand that at an org that size, 99% of managers could not find a clue if it bit them in the ass anyway, but this one will come back to haunt them.
Of course the 6 month clock of lawsuits against UW stupidity was due to chime again anyway.
A political blog of all things Thurston (aka Hazard County) and many things from the fathers' rights front. The Olympian's Brad Shannon says this about the opinion and commentary expressed on this blog: "Filled with hate," "Disturbed," "Out of the mainstream." Hey, that's a call to action for the Tea Party generation if ever there was one.

8 gajillion bones stolen from land owners
Or so reckons the study that is meant to strike fear into the hearts of tax payers.
MSM is intending to spin the study as a sky is falling price tag for surrending the constitution to socialism. To the contrary, if government stops swinging the heavy "because we can" arm of regulation, the hammer would stop hitting them in the thumb. 933 doesn't cost tax payers a nickel; land theft by government does.
I can't comprehend how it is OK to saddle a few landowners with the cost of preserving the environment. Especially when those who don't own land are demanding the increased regulation. It's like telling someone to tear down their garage because it blocks their neighbor's view.

Response to "TV farmers" on 933
...ask me, I'm the son of a farmer and I'm not keen on the 20,000 residents who live on land next to ours, that used to be farms, telling me that my family's land is now sacred because they happen to enjoy the view when they drive by it AND that they have no intention of paying us a nickel to preserve that view.
My dad bought that acreage in the 1950's. He died in 1974. We could have developed it a hundred times since then and it would have been a thousand times more profitable than farming. Someday I would like to build on that land so that my kids can be closer to their grandma.
No thank you, we don't need Futurewise stealing that land or the value of it from us. I enjoyed the view too until all of you moved out there.

Consumer debt and poverty prefers divorced, middle aged, female companionship
Or so states 35th district ultra liberal candidate Lucas in Saturday's Zero
Tell us Kyle by Nine-Names, where exactly does this debt come from? Is there an evil government program that dumps thousands in consumer debt on divorced women when they turn 40?
One has to wonder if the women as victims boat will sink with one or two more politicians riding it? Where is exactly are the politicians looking out for kids? Speaking of kids, do I even need to ask where this woman stands on shared parenting legislation?
"Women in poverty is one of my big issues that I talk about on the stump. Women in midlife who go through divorce are disproportionately saddled with debt compared to their income."

Iran begins playing UN like harp from hell
Step 1- Flood the wires with stories of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad making nice with United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan.
Step 2: Just wait for the cheap crude to help bolster Detroit's falling sales of high margin SUV's.
Step 3: Detroit goes to work again, Americans get cheap gas reprieve for a couple of years while Iran doubles down on nuclear development and testing while funding terrorist networks- to kill the infidels.
Step 4: We start the game over again in 7 years when Iran has a nuke and an even more potent WMD strategy / terror network to kill ALL the infidels.
Step 5: Iran or Iranian funded henchmen attempt to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
Step 6: Kaboom. That looming nuclear war that we thought Reagan eliminated really happens, but this time it's with terrorist countries in the middle east.
Mahmoud to Kofi: "Pssst. You got
any other sons that want into the oil business?"
Kofi to Mahmoud: "shhh. Later, Not now
and not in front of the reporters."

Does Thurston's superior court candidate Anne Hirsch ride the DV money train?
Her resume says she does.
So does this mean she will be handing out restraining orders like candy at a pep rally- no questions asked?
In fact, domestic violence comes up in her resume at least 3 times. Isn't it funny that she hasn't served in any capacity to help victims of child abuse? So apparently we have a judicial candidate who looks after abused women, but not abused children. Unless of course the children happen to have been abused by a non-female and are not a male over the age of 12 and have a mom who wants full custody.
Should it surprise anyone that she also served as a GAL? For those uninformed folks, GALs are those people who are making recommendations as to what is best for kids in custody battles. These are the same folks who 90% of the time say it's in the child's best interest to NOT be with their father. I imagine we will eventually see her in front of the legislature saying that courts are doing just fine in custody battles and shared parenting laws aren't needed at all.
No gender bigotry in that resume at all - cough- bullshit.
I don't think we need yet *another* judge in our county who believes it's in a child's best interest to have a mother, a support check, and no father. I'd hope we get a judge who at least asks a few questions like "is there an arrest record, or hospital records, or ANY THING prior to this divorce, custody and restraining order filing to indicate DV?"
I have one queston for Anne- WILL YOU PROSECUTE A PROVEN FALSE ALLEGATION OF DV FOR PERJURY?
