This just in from the Jimmy Carter campaign...
"The Obama campaign has had to fight an intensive e-mail spam campaign that claims Obama is secretly a Muslim, and his wife is a black radical. Campaign spokesman Bill Burton called the New Yorker cover over the top."
Note that they've fought the muslim accusation by having his preacher and other members of his church yell "God damn America" repeatedly at the top of their lungs and then sell the recordings on CD and DVD.
They've fought the militant black woman accusation by having Michelle Obama say that she's finally proud of her country for the first time because a black man is a presidential candidate. They've continued to fight that stereotype by keeping her mouth riveted shut.
That's change we can believe in!
