A political blog of all things Thurston (aka Hazard County) and many things from the fathers' rights front. The Olympian's Brad Shannon says this about the opinion and commentary expressed on this blog: "Filled with hate," "Disturbed," "Out of the mainstream." Hey, that's a call to action for the Tea Party generation if ever there was one.

Gregoire's tobacco tax is generating funding for terrorists
When you tax the hell out of something- it creates a perfect environment for an underground economy.
Note on the wording- anytime money doesn't end up in the government's coffers, it's called lost revenue. It's as though a bunch of senators and reps owned plantations and got together to roll the smokes after their long hard days of inventing ways to raise taxes.

Hazard Judge Quip of the Day - Judge Christine A. Pomeroy-Bednarik
From a Male litigant from his settlement conference . . ."Let me tell you the momma bear story, Mr. Jones. When momma bear has her cubs, papa bear leaves the den and momma bear raises the cubs." - Christine Pomeroy-Bednarik, Circa 2005.
What is interesting about her momma bear story of mom getting the den (er the house) and the kids is that Ms. Pomeroy is a legislative activist and is currently involved in efforts to jack up child support even further. Obviously she has a political and ideological agenda and it shows on the bench. The more dollars on the books in the family court for child support, the more federal title IV Welfare funds for the state and DSHS whom she gets paid by in part. Hmmm. Fair and impartial? She's a good state and county comrade and her property tax assessments reveal the gig has some perks that most county residents aren't privy to.

Ben Stein is Right on his money

Go see Expelled - No Intelligence Allowed. Not only is he witty and funny as usual, he makes the Darwin academia Nazis and atheists look like the jack asses that they are. A good movie for any thinking person interested in truth, justice and preserving American freedoms so under attack in our post modern relativist society. Anyone? Anyone?

Russia........An underground church was going to meet in secret one morning. As the congregation was arriving and getting settled, a group of KGB came in dressed in battle gear head to toe with automatic assault rifles. They demanded that each person denounce Christ. "Either denounce Christ now or die." As the people were lined up, one by one they began to denounce Christ then were allowed to leave. A handful were left standing, refusing to do what was asked. Slowly, the KGB began removing their gear. Then one sheepishly announced, "Now we can have church."

The Hillary, Barack, and Christine show
I don't weigh in on presidential politics that often. McCain doesn't exactly give me goose bumps and I'll be wearing my nose plugs this fall like every other conservative.
However, the Hillary and Barack show is well worth the price of admission. Earlier in the election cycle Dennis Miller described Hillary as a caricature of herself, but it has long since transcended that depiction; the two of them together are like a freaking vaudeville act put on by inmates at an asylum at this point.
Even funnier still is that Rush Limbaugh has architected Hillary's campaign into a sick and twisted episode of Weekend at Bernie's.
Gregoire should focus a little less on painting Dino up as Bush as she should worry about the pile of poop she stepped in by a pandering endorsement. The similarity of contempt Barack, Hillary and Christine share for the working class is almost as if they were the aborted triplets of a liberal Manchurian candidate project separated from the womb and launched right into government. Really the only thing funnier than Hillary and Barack, is Christine trying to defend her own record while keeping a straight face. Unfortunately the million or so of us driving a record 5 MPH on her freeway promises aren't laughing so much.
Speaking of records- I hear Dino has set a few in terms of grassroots fundraising.

Are Girls more violent?

This segment explores the question "Are Girls More Violent?". This poor girl, who was the victim of several female "Perps" (as they say in the trade), had the crap beaten out of her and will be emotionally and psychologically damaged for life. This is sad, truly sad, for all of the kids and families involved.
Domestic violence is a crime and it is a relational dynamic that BOTH genders contribute equally to.

oh those political axe grinding GALs
Here’s a rhetorical question: Should the courts be hiring political axe grinders as Gaurdian ad Litems (GALs)? Those following our little blog from up at the courts will know exactly what I’m talking about.
For example- is a military guy going to get treated fairly in a custody battle if the GAL assigned to his case is one of Olympia’s finer POOP people? I doubt it.
I suggest you all take a close look at the demographics and political make up of your GAL registry in the very near future. The current make up will not bode well if it is put under a microscope.
PS- as a partial courtesy and mostly because dinner is cooking - I’m going to hold off on naming and linking to what I’ve dug up. Let’s just say you probably can’t apply the Fox News slogan of “fair and balanced” to the GAL roster and invoices I have so far with a straight face, but apparently that was never your intention in the first place.
Have a nice weekend Paula, Chris and gang! I hope you managed to not destroy any families this week.
