Office Depot in Lacey rocks!

A while back I ripped Dex yellow pages for what is truly a dishonest business policy (verbal binding contract, w/out disclosing the terms of auto renewal into perpetuity) that would cost some start up businesses serious money.

I’d like to highlight a business I recommend strongly: Office Depot.

For a while now I’ve been taking all of my business supply and service needs to the Lacey Office Depot. These guys absolutely rock on service and are pretty good on price. I started using Office Depot, after the “I don’t want to work here” Kinko’s crew screwed up my business card order royally and charged me a ton for it anyway. Since then, the people at Office Depot have gone above and beyond the call of duty time and time again- even in cases where I was a retard. Let me repeat that- over the past 3 years these guys have amazed me repeatedly; not a one time occurrence, but consistently.

I don’t know what their recipe is, but both the managers and employees deserve a giant pat on the back for a culture that treats the customer like royalty. Service and people who care that the customers needs are met as much as these guys and gals are rare and even rarer still in a large chain store. This store is run like a start up eager to gain customers and customer loyalty. I'm impressed.

I was looking high and low trying to game the DV system today and I could not find my DV liaison. I could not find the head GAL Rev. Rasa Raven who sits on Paula Casey's Family Court Development Committee. I was thinking it was a little quiet around Evergreen Parkway with no riots or anarchists today and then it dawned on me . . . it's that weekend where they all (including children) make the trip and gather at the Gorge to cast spells on unsuspecting Olympians and do each other under the full moon.

No wonder it's so quiet in Olympia this weekend.

In some senses Borat was right. It took a full 18 hours until the market opening on Tuesday for the price to plummet.

Sometimes the simplest answer is also the smartest answer. Right now the economy cannot withstand a "Let them eat cake instead" elitist energy policy from a guy who cannot even find Hanford on the map, let alone tell you whether it's famous for apples or half lives.

Hopefully not, but it's likely crude prices will recover as the "Let them eat cake instead" congress continues to block drilling and tells us to stay home from work, and not consume or buy anything that is manufactured or delivered by something powered by oil in any way, shape or form.

How about this? Build a few nuke plants and bring my power bill down to 30 bucks a month and we'll start talking about an electric or hydrogen car. Shutting off the oil spiggot w/out a viable replacement while global demand for energy is soaring is not intellectual- it's suicide.

Thurston County Courts in violation of RCW 42.56.520

This is regarding a Public Records Request for the GAL Training Materials, Domestic Violence Section. Ms Maxwell has a habit of denying access to records, now she has a habit of not even reponding to the requests for the records.

While these records should have been delivered to me for inspection in a prior records request, several chapters of the GAL training materials requested were empty, including the section specific to Domestic Violence. No explanation was provided as to why that material was absent.

No log of redactions has been provided.

The scope of the request included all electronic materials as well as printed materials. The training session on Domestic Violence was a solid day in length, yet mysteriously the county won't hand over the curricula content.

I would be SHOCKED to discover that totally fabricated and bogus statistics regarding domestic violence were presented at this training!!! One has to wonder, how could such a God fearing court have such a record fearing record keeper? Could the powerpoint slides also have contained gifted artwork depicting a man beating the hell out of a woman?

Since they won't show us the materials, one can only speculate.

Oly infants and toddlers left alone- moms party till noon the next day

If you look at my blog history, you'll notice that I'm not in the habit of vilifying women here on the blog, partially because of the mutual attraction of idiots to idiots and also because 2nd wives happen to be some of the best lobbyists for shared parenting.

Note that they've fought the muslim accusation by having his preacher and other members of his church yell "God damn America" repeatedly at the top of their lungs and then sell the recordings on CD and DVD.

They've fought the militant black woman accusation by having Michelle Obama say that she's finally proud of her country for the first time because a black man is a presidential candidate. They've continued to fight that stereotype by keeping her mouth riveted shut.

Pierce County dude tells his story

At first glance, BJ Shea often has a lot of sophmoric potty humor, but he and his posse have been ardent supporters of men's rights. A few weeks ago he had a guy from Roy on. The story is worth retelling. I'll stop short of calling the guy a victim. When you pull your pants down and stick your junk in a light socket, you don't get to call yourself a victim.

The story is still an amazing tell of how effed the system is. This really throws feminism back 80 years. For all you single moms out there wondering why no guy will come near you, well- here's your clue.

I purchased a house in Roy, Washington with my ex-girlfriend Linda ****** in November of 06'. Linda and I had beendating 5 months prior to my purchasing the house. I used $45,000.00of my money from my personal account for the down payment and allexpenses involved in purchasing and moving into the new house. Linda paid nothing whatsoever. By March of 07' our relationship as a couple had completelydeteriorated, so I began asking Linda to please move herself and herchildren out and return to the house she owns, also located in Roy. Linda stubbornly refused to consider moving. We continued livingtogether as roommates for a couple of months, but the situationbecame increasingly uncomfortable for everyone. I continued askingLinda to please make arrangements to move back into her own home. Linda adamantly refused to move, and began making threats to have meremoved. Finally on July 14th of 07', after an argument with Linda, and myfinding that she had stolen my laptop computer, I called the Pierce County Sheriff's's department to have her removed once and for allfrom my home. \

When the police arrived, I was blindsided and servedwith a protection order against me! Linda made good on her threats tohave me removed. I would later learn that Linda had gone to the courthouse on July 11th and made up a bunch of lies about herself and her children being afraid of me in order to obtain a protection order andhave me removed from my home. I was allowed 10 minutes to pack myselfand my son up to leave my own home. I would NEVER be allowed to return to my home for any of my personal belongings. Imagine losing absolutely EVERYTHING you own, based on one crazy persons accusationand manipulation of the court system.

On July 11th Linda stole a check from my personal checking account, filled it out in the amount of $5,000.00 and forged my signature. She then cashed the check and deposited it into her account a few daysafter having me removed from my house. I filed a police report forthe forged check, and also hired a handwriting expert to confirm Linda did in fact forge my signature on the check. When it became apparent that Linda wasn't going to negotiate orreason with me, I hired attorney Colleen ***** to negotiate the saleof the house and return of my property. Colleen promised me the case would be simple to handle and that my $3,000.00 retainer would besufficient, especially given the fact that Linda had so blatantly broke so many laws along the way. On October 5th of 07' Colleen and Linda's attorney (Mark *******) negotiated a meeting where I would be allowed to arriveat the house in Roy and obtain some items from a list of my property. When I arrived at the agreed upon time and began loading the items left for me on the corner of the property, I was arrested and taken to jail for breaking a protection order. It was clear to all that Iwas set up again by Linda, and the charges were dropped even before my hearing. My attorney Colleen added false arrest to our suit against Linda. In the meantime, Colleen continued to rack up attorney fees far beyond what had been discussed or agreed upon at any point. Colleen knew that I was struggling to find work after being laid off from my job of 19 years with Paccar. Attorney fees continued to pile up forwork that was not authorized by me, nor were there any results for all the charges ­- we were making no progress whatsoever. I continued to send as much money as I could, all the while receiving threats from Colleen that she would drop from my case if I didn't pay up. Colleen knew that I would be devastated financially and otherwise if she were to withdraw from my case. Two weeks before trial Colleen would withdraw from the case without notice and leave me hanging. This is the woman who claimed to be an advocate for men's rights. I truly believe Colleen makes that claim, and takes cases like mine knowing that we as men will soon be beaten into submission by the obstacles we face just because we are men. All she has to do is sit back and collect the fees until we cave in. We get kicked around from every direction while the woman makes mistake after mistake with no accountability whatsoever.

A Mediation was held in March where I negotiated a house payoff of $35,000.00 due in 3 months. I reluctantly agreed to the small payoff amount, and consequently forfeiting my house to Linda. However, afterthe payoff and terms were agreed upon, Linda and her attorney added handwritten notes to the bottom of the page stating that none of my$60,000.00 + in personal property would be returned, and that I wouldnot be allowed to pursue any further legal action against Linda forthe $5,000.00 forgery case or theft of my car and computer. These added-in notes were of course not acceptable terms to me at all. Before I knew what had hit me, my entire case was closed. Linda's attorney found out I had lost my legal representation, so he jumpedon scheduling a pre-trial conference, that I was not notified of, or invited to, where he proceeded to inform the judge that I had reneged on our $35,000.00 mediation deal. Not only did the judge allow the additional notes to be added that were never discussed with me or my attorney, additional notes were added to the deal without my even being present. Linda was awarded the house, all of my personal property, $500.00 attorney fees, and option to counter sue for damages to her.

What damages she could have possibly incurred while raping me of everything I have ever worked for, I will never know. So BJ and gang, my dilemma at this point is whether it is a possibility to appeal the decision made by the judge to close the case. Yes, I know this is a question for an attorney, and I am desperately seeking one who is willing to help take my life back fromthis woman who has been allowed to walk all over me. I was told by the attorney/mediator who mediated for us that I have been punishedby all of this, and that there is no way I would be punished furtherby the law for patiently waiting for justice. He was wrong. All further details of my story demonstrate further wrong-doing byLinda, along with her history of doing this to other men, includingher ex-husband of whom she stole her other house from. I have documentation of everything involved, and most is pretty well organized. Please don't hesitate to call me on my cell phone ***** or email me with any questions. Post 2: Union kickback continued

Ok- so in post 1- you have largely public opposition (and tons more that I didn't scan) and zero financial benefit for taxpayers.

Now check out the main proponents. There were four boxes full of nicely printed union propoganda. Unfortunately none of it had anything to do with this program or how this benefits the folks footing the bill for public projects. It appears that pushing this through has been the number 1 job of most of the Puget Sound union hacks for quite some time. Most of the proponents are from up north with a few local union affiliates and dem operatives. There were piles and piles of out of county union hacks pushing on this. In sum this was totally outside special interests pushing an agenda on Thurston County. Of course short bus Bob gave them a big fat warm welcome. Largely this was just like Queen Christine's union kickback- but with the political climate in Thurston, good luck getting rid of MacCleod.

If I can add one more punch to Bob on this post- while I was at the courthouse reviewing the boxes and boxes of union propoganda that went with this kickback, there was a late 80 something year old marine vet there complaining about not being able to get bus service to some seniors in his area. Bob and the other commisioners gave him the blow off and said we're doing the best we can...............................................This was on the anniversary of D-day.

Post 1 : A closer look at Bob MacCleod's Union Kick Apprentice Program

It looks just like Queen Christine's. On one side of the fence are local citizens and on the other side is Union and Democrat operatives. The core argument for the program is that there will be a lack of qualified tradesmen in the future. The real agenda is to muscle non union and small contractors out of public works.

Since we are at 5.5% statewide unemployment and even higher in Lewis Counties, you'll need a glass of water to swallow that one. This is especially true given that you already have prevailing wage requirements for public works.

First evaluate the program by it's financial merits. A few other muni's have implemented the program, so there has been time enough to see if there is tax payer benefit. At best the news here is only slightly on the negative. Click on the scans for the full image- sorry the county would not send me the original electronic versions of any of these docs. I did ask for them in native electronic format.







Next check out the lukewarm response from a contractor- this was in fact the most positive written response from any contractor in the mix.

Now I complained that the public only found out about this at the last minute and MacCleod was trying to limit this to union cronies as much as possible. It turns out I wasn't the only one who "missed the bus." Well- mostly this was because we had a union bus driver.



Other contractors complained that the Union apprentices they had gotten on previous projects- really sucked- to the point of causing ten of thousands in damage (in accidents that could have cost hundreds of thousands and been life threatening) . In short- they would never have anything to with this program if they were not coerced. We can thank Bob for giving us the coercion.

How Thurston County manages finances II

CORRECTION

My post on the budget shortfall was too "conservative" for Thurston.

There are in fact 2 judge positions being backfilled amidst the budget crisis.

The deputies targeted for layoff is closer to 20.

While I am personally waiting another year or two to remodel the bathroom while the economy and my portfolio recover, Thurston County can tear down their garage full of squad cars and remodel two judge chambers.

I'm personally not a fan of Kimball, but I'd rather have the deputies than the judges. Seeing how each fill their week, the former feet on the ground are more of an asset to the community.

Tennessee Law Prevents Men from Regaining Voting Rights if They're
Behind on Child Support. When fathers are unable to pay their child support, the government employs numerous abusive tactics against them, including seizing their driver's licenses and passports, and even jailing them. Here's a new one--a Tennessee law prevents some men from voting based on child support. The ACLU, to its credit, is fighting the law.



I'm surprised Gregoire didn't try and push this one through here in Washington. Since the legislature usually rubber stamps all DV related legislation, Grace Huang must have been getting some and sleeping late this past winter.

How Thurston County manages finances

Unfortunate as the death of an elected official may be, the recent passing of one of our county's district judges yields a vacancy.

This vacancy is occurring at the same time the county has a 4 million dollar budget deficit (despite our property taxes increasing by 30% this past year). Said deficit is forcing the layoffs of a dozen deputies in the sheriff's department.

hmmm..... so rather than leaving the district judge spot vacant a year or so and asking the existing judges to lay off the graft grabbing and spend a little more time actually reviewing cases and keeping 2-3 beat cops on board, we're going to lay off the cops and bring on a new judge.

It appears both candidates for the open seat are VERY well entrenched in the incestuous county legal cesspool- so the graft chain will be stronger than ever after this election. The filing deadline for candidacy appears to have be open and shut after just a few milliseconds. Go figure.

Burner's house burned

That sucks.

I couldn't be less of a fan of Darcy's political positions. I do however admire the piss and vinegar she brings to the race. I wish there were a few more Republican's in the 22nd district with her stones to go after the Democrat mafia here in Thurston.

On May 12th a 98 year old lady named Irena Sendlerowa passed away.

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an ulterior motive...She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German). Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids). She also had a dog in the back, that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in, and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.

During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, and arms, and beat her severely. She kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out, and keptthem in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents who may have survived it, andreunited the family. Most of course had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes, or adopted. Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize.... She LOST.

Million dollar question

Why did Thurston County's Courts withhold portions of the GAL training material from my public records request?

As the scan below and some other research indicates, the GAL material is very anti-father in nature to begin with (I've had peeks of versions of it in other places). I'll continue posting some very damning quotes from the training material in the coming weeks- but net-net, this material does not bode well for fathers having to square off with these Axe grinders.

In Gregoire's defense...

I'm writing today in Christine Gregoire's defense.

Being in Olympia, sometimes you get to be privy to interesting conversations in politics. The press is condemning Governor Christine Gregoire’s campaign for going negative out the gate with negative ads and smears like those on http://www.dontknowdino.com/. Getting dirty so early wasn’t her team's first choice in campaign planning. The campaign staff actually wanted to spend the first 5 months proclaiming victory and laying accolades on her many accomplishments as Governor. As an old hat at marketing and as most of Washington State knows, that is a herculean task, even for the best spinners. I happened to be a fly on the wall for one of those conversations.

I was having lunch in downtown last month. At a table near to us sat the transportation secretary and one of Gregoire’s campaign aides. She was telling the aide that if in 2004 there had been no roads at all in Washington, Gregoire would have finished enough miles of roads to connect a route directly from each of the new businesses spawned from her economic expansion projects to every other business spawned and never take the same route twice.

To this the aide replied, “Wait a minute! This morning I had coffee with the state’s economic team and they warned me that not one of those billion dollar projects had produced a single job at all.”

The transportation secretary responded quickly with a mouth half full of potato salad, “That’s ok, we haven’t finished any roads either.”

thought of this one! This is better than when you
pay your farmers NOT TO GROW FOOD. Have them use
more energy to create less energy, and
simultaneously drive up food prices.
