Today Paulson halted the bailout of toxic mortgages. You remember... that trillion dollar shit sandwich we were sold in a desperate plea in order to save the economy from certain ruin.
Thanks for nothing Brian Baird and Adam Smith. That incredible sinking feeling you have is the realization of absolute stupidity. That thick yellow fluid running down your foreheads is egg yolk. There's an Amway meeting next week I think you 'tards will do well to attend. That's my way of saying I told you jackasses to vote against this horrid piece of legislation.
Credit is due to Maria Cantwell for recognizing that shit sandwich will still be on the menu tomorrow in the event you have the brains to figure how NOT to put one on the tab today. That's my way of saying thanks for voting no on this bill.

One of W's better moves was to cut funding from international organizations that provided abortions in the name of healthcare for the poor.

Sources tell me tomorrow Michelle Obama will have prunes for breakfast and enjoy a most wonderful BM shortly before noon. The media will no doubt be right there to capture it. Meanwhile automakers teeter on bankruptcy caused by unions which backed Hillary and later Obama. Instead of creating a motivation for Americans to give money to them by purchasing automobiles (like 2 & 3 year depreciation schedules), Democrats have decided to cut out that pesky production step by giving our money directly to Automakers as a reward for running their businesses into the ground.

Economic Compass
The good news is, Obama has put seat belts, tire gauges and stimulus checks in the hand basket we're riding in to keep the "middle class" safe.
The bad news, we'll be paying $5.00 a gallon straight to OPEC to fuel it.
The worse news is, he's planning to bailout the automakers who make the 10 MPG cars that don't sell with $5.00 gas so unions can continue get over inflated wages in a suffering industry.
The EVEN worse news is that his supposedly elite think tank of economists don't get the fact that the biggest stimulus our economy could capture and capitalize on right now is cheap energy.
If these jackasses think windmills will solve our energy problems- they need to prove it with results before shutting off our domestic energy supplies. To date, there are none. They are a blight to the landscape.
Ironic- the landscape is the excuse they use to stop drilling.
Meanwhile natural gas and nuclear energy - which are real, are proven, and timely will go untapped.
Hang on- it's going to be a bumpy ride. The silver lining, the blame-Bush credit card will max out in around 18 months. The even better news (for the rest of us) is that most people who voted for Obama are not recession proof.
Two gaf-tastic years of this entitlement minded administration with no solutions and it won't be Palin effigies they hang in the next series of federal elections.

Signs of a less-free society
Throughout history, the sign of a free society is that free press has always attacked with extreme prejudice those in office. The most unsettling facet of our current media trend is that it is IDENTICAL to the state run press coverage of Saddam, Stalin, and Castro. Throughout history brutal dictators are fashioned by state run media to be really nice guys- you know just like you and me.
Diving deeper into this fawning (and creepy) trend, since the election there is little more than propaganda oozing from websites formerly run by journalists. We've already seen the puppy coverage and even though the young dog isn't lactating they'll be milking that story until June at least.
I don't recall a single line of fawning coverage for Ma Bush; even more still they went after Nancy Reagan like a member of the occult, but they're lining up to make a folksy icon of bitter half Michelle Obama.
Parallels to mass murderers aside, the media got Obama elected, now they seem to be doing everything in their power to distract the country from the issues at hand. Fox news is even cashing in with this story on the horrid inconvenience of Secret Service security coverage in the neighborhood. How troublesome for the Rezco's next door!!!
Meanwhile unemployment hit 6.5% and the trillion dollar shit sandwich Bush and congress just served up is doing zilch to jump start the economy. Attention RNC- voting with my dollars
Prior to 2004, I had never donated to a political campaign. Since then I've been as generous as my discretionary spending would allow and entirely to local candidates that I believe in. 50:1 my support went to Dino both in the '04 recount and the '08 election.
Other than Palin's emergence, The RNC has inspired very little reason to cut them a check. The post election melt down of the McCain campaign is a cow pie on top of a car wreck.
Although the country is headed to hell in a socialist handbasket, I'm actually thankful it won't be John McCain at the helm putting the blame on conservatives for policies that are anything but conservative.
If there isn't a check in the mail addressed to the RNC, it's me who didn't write it.

Remember the Euphoria?
You can make your own parallels to Nazi Germany, I tend to think Americans are well intentioned so comparing to radical extremes is just silly if you can't substantiate it. On the other hand this is politics and if you think good will is what Obama supporters are selling (J Wright anyone?), go read the comment threads at the Zero - or just take a good look at the bipartisan wagon Gregoire has been driving for the past 4 years.
This much emotion of people who cannot list a single accomplishment for the winner of the office of the Presidency is just creepy. Given that the policies laid out by Borat and Joe Depot are economic suicide, I'm recollecting previous nationwide train wrecks with a prelude of this much euphoria fueled by totally mindless optimism.

2- Dot com crash.
3- 1929 crash.
4- Every cult in the history of the world.
Democrat or Republican, it pays to be informed and skeptical. Sell short.
