Whenever there is a rash of new moms drowning their kids in the bath or tossing their newborns in a dumpster, we have a big run of sympathy for the murderers with safe haven laws. The women just couldn't control themselves and if somehow there was an out- like safe haven laws- they wouldn't have killed their offspring.
Don't expect the equivalent for dads heading into divorce. No- I expect laws to be passed such that every dad gets treated like they are one of these grisly monsters, regardless of the circumstances.
