Keep repeat customers from getting deported!Earlier this year I got word from our "highly organized network" that the Domestic Violence industry was opposing a bill that would do a decent job of protecting victims of Domestic Violence – but would divert funds from their existing money train and lobbying activities. Needless to say it was another bit of proof that these whack jobs have very questionable motives about “protecting victims of DV.” Namely anything that doesn’t make the DV money train more profitable is not a solution.
Today I give you another exhibit- straight from the WCADV (big player in the DV industry) legislative update.
LinkThe bill in question (HB1182) which I blogged on earlier is a turd that our own Brendan Williams drafted on child abduction. This was a terrible bill which basically would give attorneys truck loads of ammunition to not only run up the bill on clients hurling outrageous claims, but would also provide deranged judges the discretion to wipe a parent out of the picture at the drop of the hat with zero wrong doing of any sort. While the DV industry is fine when they can wipe dad out of the picture, the danger with this bill is that the door can and does swing both ways when it comes to in appropriate judge/attorney cronyism. If you watch our video of man hating Thurston County Judge Paula Casey ordering the code red on live TV- you know which way that door swings in Thurston County.
For the record, shared parenting is about keeping both parents involved with their children, which is contrary to the WCADV's agenda.
The kicker and the real reason (quoted below) WHY the DV industry opposes the bill is they don’t want a good portion of their customer base (illegal immigrants) to go away. I hadn’t even thought of this, but the DV industry knows who their customers are. Based on California’s financial debacles, the illegal immigrant angle is spot on the money.
“….the bill would encourage courts to inquire as to the parties’ immigration status, a factor that will likely discourage battered immigrants from access to protection from the courts.”
In other words, a good deal of the police calls for DV (and DV murders in the United States) involve illegal immigrants, on both the giving and receiving side of DV. The WCADV needs these victims and perps to remain in the US stirring up perpetual chaos and social service money trains.
Also note that the DV industry is opposing Shared Parenting (cntl f "shared parenting" in the pdf).
