A political blog of all things Thurston (aka Hazard County) and many things from the fathers' rights front. The Olympian's Brad Shannon says this about the opinion and commentary expressed on this blog: "Filled with hate," "Disturbed," "Out of the mainstream." Hey, that's a call to action for the Tea Party generation if ever there was one.

Legislative Special Session
No wonder.
The legislature spent too much time this year in the regular session focusing on the budget, education, roads, public safety, core infrastructure, and making it easier for small business to operate in this state and really didn't get to spend enough time on the important topics for which government really exists such as passing laws on gay rights, classifying crimes against cross dressers as hate crimes, climate change, Puget Sound "pollution awareness" and protecting house pets from potential domestic violence.
When the check book is empty, governing just isn't fun anymore.
Glad to see the tribes made it through this session with tax free gambling. Campaign money well spent!

Washinton DOT installing toll cameras on I-5?
The argument for robo ticketing is public safety- but the cameras at intersections haven't reduced accidents at all, so let's call it for what it is- tolling for revenue.
If this goes into motion, I'd like see an Eyman intiative to ban the practice of robo ticketing in the state of Washington at any level.
Let's keep upskirt government cash register cameras out of our state, thank you very much.
In fact- I'd like to see the same union thugs weigh in here that have weighed into keeping automated checkers out of Safeway. I like the troopers in our State Patrol. They provide a valuable service on our freeways and that purpose is NOT collecting revenue for Gregoire.
I file this under Right Wing Extremist, because while I am fine with wire tapping terrorists, I am not fine with installing cameras to police and spy on all American citizens.

CNN--- a parody of a news organization
Dear Mallory Simon, David Mattingly and Mike Phelan - I notice the word "reporter" was not used in your bylines. That omission is appropriate. Cash that check from the gay mafia before anyone else notices.
In 2009, (as Miss USA has shown) the bullying seems to come from the shawshank sisters in the gay lobby. That's when it's not coming from CNN clowns with cameras covering tea parties. Take your victim status and visit a horse farm in Enumclaw.
I notice in reading the non-article at CNN, the ads were rather ....not present. I don't wonder why.

Dave Ramsey Town Hall for Hope
Dave's financial advice is on the spot 99% of the time. In fact, his no-prenup policy is the only advice of his I disagree with (I'll claim the high ground as the authority on the divorce industry- tyvm). Although I personally own single stocks- his policy of sticking to mutual funds is better advice. Dave's policy on having absolutely no debt is the ONLY way to live. I encourage small business people to listen to his show as well. There are a lot of lessons from callers who have lost everything, which are lessons learned the hard way, about why it is important to be risk averse.
As a fan of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Millionaire Next Door and the rest of the books on personal finance- the Dave Ramsey philosophy is at the top of my list of any advice I take. Remember- I'm the guy who got the hell out of the stock market the Tuesday after Labor Day 2008.
If you want to know how rich people think, how they behave in their day to day lives, there is no better resource. This is why I stongly recommend attending Town Hall for Hope which will be a Live feed nationwide this week to local churches.

DSHS employees spying on father's rights champions
An attorney (not a DSHS attorney) who represents the individual at DSHS that was signed in to IP address 198.238.52.75 on March 31, 2009 at 11:34 a.m is asking DSHS to post pone disclosing the requested information until April 30, 2009.
The justification: to give them additional time to consider whether they need
to obtain a temporary restraining order under RCW 42.56.540 that would prevent DSHS from disclosing the information.
Hey cowards who live in the underbelly of DSHS- Don't surf the damn internet on the public's dime and then expect to be shielded from public records law. The very fact that you are trying to hide that you were trolling a father's rights website on public time is very damaging to your organization. So you better be willing to fess up to WHY you clicking where you were clicking.
Now it's no secret to the father's rights bunch that various organizations (government and other) keep records of who does what in this movement. So it should be no surprise that we can and do use public records laws to hold certain axe grinders accountable for their on-duty activism against law abiding citizens.
Also note. By the very virtue that this news made it to me and that I am taking the time to note it on the Pundit -EVERY MEMBER OF THE FATHERS RIGHTS COMMUNITY IN WESTERN WASHINGTON IS AWARE OF THESE ACTIONS. Now for you guys at this arm of DSHS, please imagine about dozen or so really bad ass IRS auditors giving you a colonoscopy for the next month and a half AND pounding down doors at the legislature if this request gets blocked.
I don't have a beef with someone taking a break and reading the news- it's better for your well being than a smoke break. Hell, even stop by and leave a benign comment. But when you've got to get a restraining order against the public knowing where you surf during the day, that indicates the public will be VERY well served by knowing what it is you are doing on their dime.
When it comes to stuff like this, we hunt like wolves. Just ask the Snohomish county dimwits who thought it was ok give the Eastside DV mafia a blank check for posting their anti-male web content on the County website w/out a minute of fact checking.
Another case in point: Every one of Thurston County's axe grinding GALs ran out and got a business license the very same week their registry was hit with muliptle records requests, apparently word got back to someone that the line between employee and contractor was wearing thin. It seems someone started wondering who would be liable, should ess hit the fan with the axe grinding that goes on with these court appointed loons.
Methinks the layoffs aren't yet cutting deep enough in the public sector.
File this under Right Wing Extremist.
Janet Napolitano; a woman who can't count to 5.
You didn't get the memo the first time. DON'T HURL ACCUSATIONS AGAINST AMERICAN CITIZENS THAT YOU CAN'T SUBSTANTIATE.
Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano said on CNN's "State of the Union" that she regrets that some people took offense over the report, but added that "a number of groups far too numerous to mention" were targeting returning veterans to carry out domestic terrorism attacks.
CNN's racist pinhead audience might eat this crap like pigs at slop, but the rest of America knows now more than ever that CNN is not news, it is a parody of a news show. We aren't buying these straw man domestic terror stories of groups you can't name w/out getting your butt laughed out of a job. Americans expect you to have the stones to show us the top 5 groups. Is that too many for you to count?
Through out history, harassing groups of citizens by creating lists of law abiding people with certain political tendencies has never ended happily, eh cough \\stalin\\ Then again, the same can be said for everything else this administration is doing.
So on that note, keep it up. 2010 isn't far away.
Kind Regards,
Right Wing Extremist #1.

Ridiculous with an exponent
The only thing more laughable than DHS's report on "Right Wing Extremism" is CNN's coverage of it.
I honestly tried to be offended by the report, but I'm more insulted by a process that would allow such a moronic document to ever see the light of day. This wasn't just one rogue intern, this document had to have gone through a pretty good vetting process. Sad. Very Sad.
As a mighty Right Wing Extremsist points out, THESE ARE THE WIZARDS OF SMART.
LGF notes this report was put in motion under the Bush term, which makes it that much more laughable. If I have to take my chances with mentally ill trailer parkies with guns, or people this stupid in government with power, give me the parkies.

Depo of Homeland Spying zeroes in on the Pundit.
Right Wing radicals beware!
Radical ideologies such as Christianity, opposing illegal immigration, opposing abortion and federal taxes are cause of great concern for the fascists taking over America. Such radical ideas as the constitution and states rights will be dealt with by Big Sis and the Obamanation Fascists. Returning war veterans who swore an oath to protect the constitution from enemies foreign and DOMESTIC will be targets of Big Sis, too. No mention in the report of the Islamo Terrorist Cells actively working within our borders. No mention of the Cuban gangs and others that pose a threat. No, just the law abiding, America loving white people and the veterans.

International community organizer
I’m not buying into crediting Obama with ANYTHING to do with the pirate rescue this past weekend. In fact, short of issuing a personal apology directly to the pirates, I think he gaffed it in major league fashion [refusing to even issue comment or words to the hostage's family, not to mention the Hillary non-comment with bonus cackle].
However I’m not above giving credit where it is due.
Today is April 13, 2009.
If Obama takes action this spring/summer to eradicate piracy, and as a result, between Aug 2009 and the end of his term, there are not only no pirate attacks, but Somalia has a functioning government, I’ll give him [and the international community] credit.
Since Bush got Iraq together in about 4 ½ years, I figure getting a piss ant camp urinal like Somalia in order should be a 4 week task for our community organizer in chief.

From the WFB legisletter
Senate, House Unveil 2009-11 Spending Plans
This week, the state Senate and House finally released their budget proposals for the coming biennium. As news reports have indicated, both budgets contain massive "cuts" in order to address the nearly $9 billion expected state budget "deficit."
As previously reported, state tax collections are estimated to be nearly the same for the 2009-11 biennium as they were for the current 2007-2009 biennium. In many cases, the proposed "cuts" are reductions in spending increases anticipated by the various agencies as a result of higher caseload forecasts and expected inflationary increases. Nonetheless, agencies are scrambling to identify ways to comply with unprecedented spending reductions.
Both budgets also contain a number of troubling spending directives, several of which will be felt by Farm Bureau members. For example: Cuts to the Department of Agriculture contained in both budget proposals will likely affect pesticide regulation, plant protection, weights and measures inspection, and several agriculture promotion programs.
In the Senate budget, water rights application processing would be cut $1.8 million, but the Department of Ecology, which administers that program, would receive $1.3 million in new money for climate change activities.
Similarly, the Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development would lose $1.2 million used to assist local governments in complying with the growth management act (GMA) but would gain $1.5 million for climate change and energy efficiency-related programs under the Senate's spending plan.
The departments of Fish and Wildlife and Natural Resources would also suffer cuts in areas while being given $120,000 and $60,000 respectively in new money for climate change activities were the Senate budget adopted.

Buy low
My near bottom picks have been:
INTC @ ~12
GE @~ 7
NVDA@~ 7
These were blood in the streets, things are going to hell, we'll never return, go against the grain, I think you all are a bunch of lemming idiots, I'm buying while you are committing suicide purchases.
Today:
INTC: 15.27
GE: 10.63
NVDA 11.41
I have exceeded my required rate of return on all of these purchases and have unloaded some as well in anticipation of our Apologizer in Chief's continued success of screwing over the financial markets (looooonnnnngg summer baby!)
I'm the same guy who sold 80% of my portfolio back around Labor Day 2008, because it was pretty clear to me the coming administration (Obama or McCain) would not be able to find their ass using both hands in terms of the economy (my pick was and still is Romney).
Needless to say- I think most stocks are still a good buy over the next year (the teleprompter was right on that one), but consider selling long term covered call contracts, because if congress doesn't change their stripes in 2010 and start going deep with tax cuts, this is going to be one long downturn.

Horror in Graham
The nature of the incident involves a Dear John scenario which resulted in a bunch of innocent kids being murdered by their father.
NOTHING excuses this event. I blame the monster that pulled the trigger as well as the DV industry in our state.
My outrage on this occasion stems beyond the murderer to a largely inept, corrupt and mentally ill DV industry which has run with enormous funding, and free pony rides with the legislature on ineffective rubber stamp divorce profiteering for too long with no effectiveness at keeping victims from harms way.
Not only has the DV industry failed to provide a safe out for women such as this one seeking to end dangerous relationships, but they have screwed over every law abiding father in the process- largely to the profit of family courts and the divorce industry at large.
This case also hits close to home for me personally as Orting is next to where I grew up.
