Updated: Great Wolf Lodge sticks it to taxpayers (again)

Note- this url was blasted to the offices of a few US reps here in Washington. Uptake on this blog is slow, so I find it disturbing that your staff chose to contact Great Wolf Lodge for air cover as opposed to contacting the BOCC about the inappropriate earmarking of this money. You'll find me at the local tea party this weekend handing out fliers for Thurston residents to contact the BOCC to shut down this boondoggle.

If you at the Great Wolf Lodge want to claim the sovereign nation card, then you fund your own damn roads and infrastructure and stop expecting Thurston County residents to pick up the tab.


Taxpayers get the shaft again on the tribe’s waterslide- this time in pork-u-lus $

To put this story in context- about half of the Thurston County police force was laid off this year.

This is the same tax year the Great Wolf Lodge stiffed Thurston County taxpayers for the property tax assessment on the lodge declaring themselves exempt to the tune of 700k/year.

Thurston County BOCC is now rewarding the tribe’s non-payment to our local infrastructure by passing 1.3 million dollars of earmarked porkulus dollars to road projects supporting access to the Great Wolf Lodge. So instead of paying the 700k property tax bill to the county, the county is paying the tribe $1.3 million. The call for bids was announced at the last BOCC meeting (page 9, item b).

Shouldn't the "sovereign nation" pay for their own road improvements?

In other news- a stolen car was dumped at the Chehalis trail head out here in Woodard Bay on Friday night. I had to call it in a second time over the weekend before a deputy could come out. Let's hope that car doesn't have anything to do with that missing little girl in McCleary. It would be a shame that she is dead because the BOCC, Adam Smith, Brian Baird and the gang of Darcy in DC stiffed our public safety in order to grease the tribes for some campaign contributions.

Then again- I'm just a right wing extremist.

We now have a Domestic Violence Czar

Here is a litmus test that nothing should surprise us at this point about the Obama administration: there is now a Domestic Violence Czar.

In government, Domestic Violence = $

The DV Czar's responsibility is to make sure the money gets distributed more efficiently to local Democrat campaigns and cronies. Not to be left out, our buddy Darcy (David) Reichert was actually part of the crony chain during his time as KC Sheriff (it's a dirty secret that Republicans play this game too).

Let me break this down for you newbies. The violence against women money train is why the cops show up in 4 hours when your car gets stolen and in 4 minutes when Rep (D) Geoff Simpson's wife calls 911 alleging domestic violence. The point is to run up the numbers on DV to justify more local funding (ie more full time officers funded by the DV tit).

The violence against women act (VAWA) is also how half of the crazies working in local government and non profits for "progressive families" get their funding. It's often flowing through the courts, but also through police departments. The cops in return must turn in quotas of arrests to bump up the statistics and to show that they "are tough on DV."

In order for the garden variety civil servant or non profit to get this funding review the following: you must HATE men. You must hate men with a passion so great that you will dedicate your life and your career towards making each and every man pay dearly. You must be willing to associate each man with a DV statistic. You must believe men are guilty until proven innocent. You must believe that a female accuser should be taken at her word and every man prosecuted and found guilty on that basis.

Think Duke Lacrosse style lynching on a daily basis with no media coverage and you'll have a pretty good idea of how these people operate. The peeps and I have spent enough time countering their lies and rabbit hole logic (police included) down at the legislature to know that this is top drawer Chicago machine works at its best.

The Czar is really the cherry on top of this dog dooty sundae.

Here's my advice. Don't go.

I've long supported local candidates both with time, Lincoln day dinner contributions, campaign contributions and I will continue to do so when candidates pass muster. However the Cap and Trade sell out with Dave Reichert demonstrates yet again why the RNC does not see a dime of my time or money.

This year, Republicans had the opportunity to offer the alternative of small government in a suffering economy. They had the opportunity to tell America and the world that Democrats own this mess. The blame Bush ticket expired back in May. Instead they have given conservative supporters the middle finger and jumped on the pork train.

I did a public records request last winter, reviewed their budget proposal for the next two years and I can tell you the budget isn't a means to an end, it is the end.

The government paid character assassins at NPR are at it again

I just love being forced to pay for government mandated smear campaigns!

One of many notable lightning bolts out of the Clarence Thomas book was the fact that National Public Radio was first in line with the character assassination of Clarence Thomas. Nina Totenberg was given a gigantic tongue bath by liberal outlets for her part in the high tech lynching which was based entirely on a poorly fabricated story by paid Democrat operatives and media enablers like Nina (all with the intelligence of kindergartners stealing cookies).

Well now the government funded gutter squatters are at it again. Earlier this month Pedro Espada Jr. and Hiram Monserrate jumped ranks in the New York State legislature. Most media outlets in the NW didn’t even carry the story, so NPR was where I first got wind of any details.

While I normally avoid NPR- I happened to catch it near the front end of the story. The story included a run down of every “allegation” in the world against these two Democrats which only became germane to their political ideals when their votes stopped agreeing with the liberal establishment. The story WAS NOT about what sort of public policy issues could cause an elected official to jump party lines (as is the case when a Republican switches), the story was about everything but that. The story was a laundry list of unproven and unfounded allegations- ie smear.

Funny NPR was mum on the very factual controversy surrounding Carol Browner during their coverage when Obama nominated the Clinton era energy czar who destroyed incriminating hard drives in violation of a court order not to. To the contrary- NPR lavished her as an experienced and pure as the driven snow - wizard of higher thinking-thinker that Mr Hope-n-Change brought with him to fix our troubled government.

As the rule goes- your ethics only get questioned if you happen to do something the Democrat establishment doesn’t like. Otherwise, feel free take bribes, foreign villas, 300k/year jobs for your wife from anyone and everyone or sell a F***ing Senate seat. The only caveat is you’re on your own if you can't squelch the FBI investigation.

Great idea, let's reward young adults with $20 million dollars of livable wages on welfare projects because they were totally unmotivated to acquire skills or an attitude the private sector demands. This is will be an excellent warning sign to the next crop of illiterate drop outs who think school is a waste of time.

At 15 bucks an hour this should provide 2000 summer jobs. I seriously doubt there are 2000 stimulus jobs created. However, from an economic standpoint, in order to pay for this program, there will be 2000 summer jobs lost in the private sector.

Couldn't Obama have just let businesses keep that $20 million so they could hire folks who DID bother to finish high school and need work?

Like many things to do with the environment, the Dicks money train is a closed loop system.

I can understand why the Russians and Chinese are not buying our debt. The US government clearly has no intention of ever paying it off when it considers a burn of $54 million to get a dozen guys with hard hats to create hundreds of acres of wetland to be a major boost the economy. Sorry to the millions of other guys who aren't working. You will still have the pleasure of footing the bill for this frog pond boondoggle.

Call me a right wing extremist, but I'm betting those getting taxed for the 54 large could have created more long term jobs than the Dicks dollar express.

Olympia's broken windows

I avoid Olympia proper as much as I possibly can. I don't shop there and I try to avoid dining there if I can think of an alternative. Why? The place is an arm pit and has become more so in line with the volume of the "We hate America" crowd that infests downtown and nearby areas.

That's why I was pleasantly surprised by something I saw on my last drive through. SOMEONE has been taking down graffiti and vandalism. If this is a conscious effort by the city council and ops team to get after a huge problem- I applaud the effort. If it's one or more private citizens taking this on their own doing and expense, I applaud very loudly.

A private citizen with a five dollar can of Goof Off can save tax payers thousands in prevention. Not only that, but it sends a message to the punks who perpetrate this garbage that it won't be tolerated.

PS- The super hero name for private citizens who fight graffiti is "the ass of justice." Welcome to the league.

I don't have a lot of time to sit down and read, so I use time behind the wheel to listen to books on CD when I can find them.*

Wow- this book knocked me down. Not one disk in the series failed to get me either laughing out loud or misty eyed with American pride. If you are black, white, conservative, or liberal- you MUST read this book. Trust that my copy will be making it's rounds.

Democrats in particular should give this book a tumble if you care to find out how young liberal Democrats grow up to be wise old conservative Republicans.

Since both Angler and Clarence Thomas have been recommending Atlas Shrugged, that audio book is in the mail now.

Recall this Republican was also a liberal Democrat until late 2002.

Thurston County Stimulus Money

I've seen the following "stimulus" money flow into Thurston.

1- Minor road repairs on downtown streets by the capital.
2- Insulating run down mobile homes.
3- Putting kids to work on summer jobs courtesy of my tax dollars.

If half of the money I paid in taxes last year were left in my pocket, I could easily have put people to work. I'm due for a new roof. I need an outbuilding built. My house needs insulation and weatherization. I need some major landscaping done. I totally need to buy new equipment for my own small business.

I'm not a Carnegie, but I paid enough in taxes last year to have put some people with actual mortgages and other small businesses to work.

At the end of the day, how is Obama spending this money actually creating new jobs locally better than if I had just been allowed to spend the money myself? The difference is, someone else's house got repaired while I have to wait a couple more years before repairing my own home with money that I earn.

If this is how the system rewards/punishes earning money and not earning money, why would anyone bust their ass to make a lot of money?

Listen to Obama's speech during his muslim apology tour and you'll gag on this word along with your lunch. I mean this in a bad way and not in a way that makes those who embrace other cultures or nations seem morally superior. The President's language is like that of absolute self loathing and a total lack of patriotism. Go be President of some other country if you hate this one so much.

July 4 Tea Party- updated

The Tea Party for July 4 is on like donkey kong at the capital.

The actual event will be 11:00-1:00. No word on whether Pudge will be there with his oh so fitting tunes for the government's march to socialism and 60% tax rates.

I'll update with more as it comes available. While this is a family holiday for most of us, I personally wasn't able to attend the April 15 event and am looking forward to this one.

It's time to stand up to the gay marriage thugs. Ref 71 opponents are vowing to make supporters personal information available to the worst of the worst in the gay mafia who have no problem harassing and intimidating you. They intend to make sure that any Google search on your name shows you supported this referendum and to paint you as a bigot.

I don't have a particularly strong opinion about what gays do or don't do. I do have a very strong opinion about harassing and intimidating voters. We saw this in California with prop 8. We saw this with the Miss America pageant, now they're coming to a website near you with your name and address. Enough is enough.

For those interested, half of the GALs in Thurston County happen to also be the loudest members of the "redefine marriage and family" mafia. Go figure why heterosexual males in Thurston County seem to be getting wiped out of their kids lives. The more Christian and conservative the man appears to GALs, the more painful that custody battle will be for him and his children.

Bainbridge Island spewing 1,400 gallons an hour of raw sewage into the sound. No word or clue on how long this has been flowing.

Picture a triple axle septic truck like that used by Gunstone, Jones, or A+ pulling up every 2 hours and dumping an entire load into the sound.

It's ok though, because elite liberal shit from Bainbridge doesn't stink. It's only us red necks with septic tanks that treat sewage on our own property in a closed loop system that cause tax invoking pollution.

The rest of us should plan to get out our check books, because this will be blamed on "other sources." The Norm Dicks /Christine Gregoire environmental money train will be along any hour now to cash in and hold another million dollar awareness conference or publish another 2 million dollar paper on rural white trash folks and their dirty septic tanks.
