I'll give liberals one good reason to back the hell off of socialized medicine:
In a not too distant election, a Republican President and a Republican Congress will be making your healthcare decisions for you.
Get the point?
A political blog of all things Thurston (aka Hazard County) and many things from the fathers' rights front. The Olympian's Brad Shannon says this about the opinion and commentary expressed on this blog: "Filled with hate," "Disturbed," "Out of the mainstream." Hey, that's a call to action for the Tea Party generation if ever there was one.

Atlas Shrugged and Obamacare
I finished Atlas Shrugged (book on CD) less than 24 hours ago. I couldn’t not read this book after hearing it recommended in so many conservative circles. Though pedantic at times, this book applies to EVERYTHING in Obama’s domestic policy. Let me walk you through this how this applies to Obamacare.
Obama is pushing nationalized health care, which will be underfunded by smacking an income tax on the rich (provided we still have enough rich to tax). This plan is a literally a death sentence to anyone with a illness that costs a lot of money. Obama himself has stated that Cancer care = hospice care.
Obama just appointed a science czar who is an advocate of forced abortions, sterilization for saving our natural resources.
In Atlas Shrugged, the government appointed scientist (Dr Floyd Ferris) was also an advocate of killing 1 in 3 people over 65 and under 10 in order to better ration food, medicine and energy. This became necessary when the government had driven the rich out of existence through a continued and sustained war on wealth.
Though Atlas Shrugged intentionally takes an absurd extreme to the growth of government and the war on wealth, the only thing I found absurd about the story is how striking the parallels are between the lines of thinking of Rand's characters and what Obama is preaching.

Dear MSM
I don't give a flying f**k about child fondling Michael Jackson's estate. I'd rather hear about the lives and families of the soldiers who just gave all in Afghanistan.
I'd rather hear what our pop star in chief is going to do to NOT make Afghanistan for us, what is was for the former Soviet Union in the 1980's. Yeah, I know, standards and results only matter if you get to bash a Republican, but at some point someone has to start asking real questions.

Great Wolf Lodge: Poor job of hiding the puppet strings
A common theme among morons in government and the thugs that pull their strings is the poor job they do of hiding the puppet strings between them. I see it all the time in Domestic Violence bills that the DV mafia attempts to get rubber stamped by the legislature- here it is again in the agenda and motion to advertise for bids.

Note: If the Great Wolf Lodge weren't pulling the strings, the project would generically reference an area of undeveloped commercial real estate owned by multiple parties at the southern end of the county targeted for future development and the I-5 exit number. Instead the central point of reference is the Lodge.
Further- note (in red) that the tribes are squeezing local tax payers even MORE for any over runs on this project with the REET taxes! So not only are they NOT paying taxes, getting the majority of the stimulus cash- they're coming back to pick our pockets further.
How much fire water had the BOCC been drinking when they cut this deal? That's a pretty sweet stimulus package funnelled directly to an outfit that doesn't even pay taxes and is a huge democrat campaign contributor.
