Quote of the day

This is from a comment thread on the seattle times regarding the Seattle Mayor's race.

"I would have voted for a bag of salt before I'd ever vote for Nickels."

hmmm there's probably something similar to be said locally regarding Brian Baird, Princess of the Nazi constituents.

Light blogging

Worldwide Obama apologies are due to my advertisers and stalkers alike. I won't be blogging much in the coming months for many reasons:

  • The political world is ablaze with liberals, socialists, and political thugs lighting their own hair on fire with health care, spending, and outright corruption. Though I know the entire planet comes to the Pundit for daily commentary on important news and issues, there are plenty of others doing a good job of it right now.
  • I'm not participating in the recession and have more on my plate than I can manage at the moment
  • If I were participating in the recession, I'd be a class 1 idiot for sitting in front of the computer on summer days like this.

Brian Baird Town Hall- suspended and updated

When I'm wrong, I say it. Thanks to the commenter for pointing that out. The date and time of the town hall was last year's. Apparently the only people to have looked at Baird's website less carefully than me is Brian and his own staff.

In light of the popularity of the legislation Rep Baird has voted for in the past year, he's suspending his town halls this year because he isn't interested in hearing what his constituents think.

In other news today, Representative Brian Baird referred to the 57% of his constituents who oppose government controlled health care as Nazi's.

Since Brian won't be showing his face locally anytime soon to anything other than a staged audience of paid lapdogs, you can contact Representative Marie Antoinette here:

A good chance to ask Brian if HE has read any of the legislation he voted for...
