The President of Chicago

It’s never a bad idea for an administration to work to bring the Olympics to the US, provided they do so ethically and honestly. The run up to the Olympic games is a giant economic boost for any city for the 3-4 years leading up to the festivities and great boost to local and nearby businesses, not to mention real estate.

Rewind a month or so and ask me where I think they should be held and I’d recommend an area hard hit by the recession. Michigan comes to mind, parts of California, Florida or even a grandstand gesture of New Orleans.

It must really suck to be an Obama voter in any of these places, because the pop star thug in chief is working to butter the ACORN bread right back in his home state.

Dear Census Folks

I'll be sending my census info in again.

I'm self employed and for some reason that means I get an annoying census request yearly.

Normally I fill in the bare minimum and return it, but ever since ACORN became affiliated with the census, they've been getting nothing in their envelope from me but a letter saying I will resume sending my census report just as soon as they run ACORN out on a rail.

As ACORN's finest graduate Barrack Obama will tell you- "pimping t'aint easy," nor legal, nor good for getting the work a holic self employed conservative to provide you with data.

Rep Joe Wilson of SC - Updated

Joe's yearbook picture tells it all.

No need to apologize for being right Mr Wilson.

Thank You.

Apparently Joe Wilson's .gov page was down for most of today due to overwhelming traffic. I was able to hound out his office's phone and after a long time trying finally got through. Despite what MSM media is telling you- staffers at Joe's DC office told me the phones have largely been jammed with folks calling in SUPPORT of Joe Wilson saying what needed to be said.

Big surprise- the MSM IS THAT FAR IN THE TANK!

Thurston Courts: busted clock alert

I've heard a few things about McPhee in the court watching arena that makes his credibility suspect and was half expecting the typical Hazard County outcome on the ref 71 ruling today.

But I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong.

IMO- I'm glad the initiative is being put to the voters. Objectively speaking, the gay lobby have not gained my sympathy in this ordeal. I know and am friends with a lot of gay folks, so I'm not unsympathetic to their situation. However, if the father's rights movement approached the general public with the same venom as these clowns, we'd get pummeled with rocks and rotten cabbage.

Tornado topples Rainier beer commercial

A tornado ripped through Lake Tapps to Enumclaw yesterday destroying a landmark barn.

Coincidentally the motorcycle in this beer commercial from my childhood logs the exact path.

The now non-existent barn is about hundred feet ahead/to the left of where the motorcycle ends this shoot.

...and no- the barn is NOT the scene of the infamous Seattle to Enumclaw horse humping scandal.

That Obama indoctrination speech to kiddies

My advice to kids: start skipping school.

Unless that Obama video is followed by a Tom Peters or Zig Ziggler video, the day will be a complete waste of your time. That's time that would be better spent staying home, mowing the lawn, or playing questionably violent FPS games online. Instead of writing a letter to yourself, write a letter to your school board telling them as much.

To our rock star in Chief, you won the election, time to go win that war in Afghanistan, address 10% unemployment and get that GDP from a (-) to (+). Seriously pal, you've got pressing matters to attend to. Trolling the public school system for future czars shouldn't be that high on your priority list; neither should having beer with cops you call racist.

Obama and Islam

Obama was right on one recent assertion; Islam HAS contributed to our nation's history, though not quite as the rock star in chief had intended in his recent overseas apology tour to the middle east.

Over the weekend, the President integrated Islamic law on divorce with White House HR policy on Czars:

"I resign you, I resign you, I resign you," is now the official body dumping lingo of POTUS staff deemed too radical to hide behind the president's unusually thick layer of race hustling wall paper.

Can I rent that cougar?

I could use some of that cougar menace up in King County.

We have an over population of deer down here in the South Bay area. They are a nuisance to yards, gardens and orchards not to mentaion a menace and safety hazard to traffic. The over population is largely due to having no natural predator in this area.

JT Wilcox running for state rep

JT Wilcox (of the Wilcox Farms family) is running for state rep in the 2nd legislative district. A Republican, in a Republican district in a time when Democrat popularity isn't so hot.

Don't expect this to hit the front page of the daily Zero.

Tim Russert: the sword in the stone

I ordered Tim Russert's book (wisdom of our fathers) on audio this morning. Though Tim wasn't a player in the father's rights front, his book on the value of strong fathers was a big hit among champions for the dad's cause.

This got me waxing on about Tim's role in the news community. It's been more than a year since Tim Russert passed. The vacancy in objective media with Tim's absence is astounding.

Let's face it- the newsrooms of today employ hacks who play dress up and pretend to be journalists. While this has been a boon to Fox, with ratings through the roof as the only news source that isn't completely in the tank, a single source of unabashed journalism is still a void nearly as bad as a news monopoly. Not to mention, a great deal of Fox's ranks also have an axe to grind on the other side of the political spectrum. While Fox has a long way to fall before reaching the absurdity carried on by other pretend news sources, the field of news today is nearly as bad as the field of comedians who claim they can't find any material from the Barrack and Joe show going on up at Pennsylvania ave.

Which leads to a story Fox ran today about the trend of conservative books now dominating the NY Times best seller list. Of stark contrast to this is the dead cat bounce of Nancy Pelosi's recent book, which was widely hyped, failed to sell even 20 copies, and was quickly broomed from the shelves.

With the in the tank liberal media constantly blathering left wing propaganda or just playing stenographer for the White House, the bar has been set horridly low for a source like Fox to dominate with similarly low quality; the end result for news junkies is a barren wasteland void of good journalism.

Sigh- The world misses Tim Russert. Gone are the days when journalists did their homework, came to interviews prepared, filled an interview with a bucket of hot fastballs and were able to hang politicians with their own double talk and flim flam. There is one respite in all of this: I'm sure to cherish the upcoming commutes with the late Tim.

Thought of the day

Ultimately I became a conservative because I was a liberal who hated and mistrusted the government sticking it's nose into my beeswax while taxing me to pay for the storm troopers tasked with performing the figurative colonoscopy of my own civil liberties.

Brian Baird’s town hall of shame and blame

On Monday evening, I was busy not participating in the recession and couldn't attend Baird’s town hall meeting. I just caught it on TVW and was pleased to see that I missed nothing of substance.

Baird is in a pretty safe district, so he can largely go on giving non-answers and anecdotes to questions, glaze over details and flat out lie. Short of being convicted for child molestation, the voters in the 3rd congressional district will re-elect him, so 64% of you deserve the rampant screwing he and congress are now delivering. That’s 70% of you in Thurston County. If you catch an employee robbing you blind, the shame is on you for not firing them.

Here’s a specific example of the absurdity. A barometer of how safe a democrat feels is how frequently they play the blame Bush card. Baird’s answer to multi trillion dollar deficits being run up by congress and Obama are that it was Bush’s fault for overspending during his tenure.

Wow Brian, is binge drinking also your cure to alcoholism?

I noticed he glazed over that stealth meeting down in Longview that was cancelled when it was exposed he and his colleagues were closing the doors and stacking the audience. Well there was a lot of glazing going on, best not to get caught up in a drinking game each time he told a lie, as tomorrow is a work day.

To his credit, Baird made it the entire duration without referring to any of his constituents as a Nazi. With the bar set that low, Baird can creep back to DC and get back in bed with the far left and commence screwing our grandchildren out of the devalued money the fed is about to start printing.

As a voter, I couldn’t be more disgusted at the arrogance on display. However, I’m proud to be in the 36% that never bought what Baird is selling. Based on the quality of the product, there is a glimmer of hope that the rest of the nation will vote for Brian to spend the next couple of years sitting on his hands and his socialism.
