On a related note. The liberals and Obama worshipers know who they are, too. They are socialists. What astonished me in talking to a "community organizer" this weekend is that she admitted it. She actually came directly to my GF's address, not mine. She had targeted names on a list. They never come to my house anymore. Hmm. Wonder why? That aside, this nice old lady is the first liberal I've ever heard that would admit they are communists and socialists. She flat out admitted she wants to live in Sweden and that free market economics and capitalists are evil. She blathered on about how great Europe is and how Walmart is pushing small businesses out (not the added costs, "stimulus" and taxes from Obama). "Sure, they pay a lot of taxes but they live a good life." She denied Muslims are running roughshod over Europe and that the US did not have a Christian foundation or is the basis for why we have religious freedom and tolerance in America. She blathered on about how great Obama is. I told her I don't care for him and he is the worst thing to ever happen to America (or the best if it knocks people out of their comas). I said he is a socialist. She replied; "God, I hope so." She clearly didn't plan for retirement and wants the rest of us to pay for hers. But, I thanked her for her honesty and civility. Two things I've never received from a Hazard County Liberal before.
Moral of the story . . . Remember who we are. We are not socialists. We are liberty, freedom and independence loving Americans. God, I hope so.

PJM via zippers (emphasis mine)
"In Washington, politicians always like to release bad news on a Friday, as fewer people notice. Today, the Pentagon announced that it had granted the waiver requests of five states seeking to escape requirements to protect military voters. I have written previously here at PJM that all waiver requests should be denied. Unfortunately, if you are an overseas servicemember from Delaware, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington, the protections in the MOVE Act aren’t going to apply to you this year. And if you are from one of the states who still aren’t in compliance with MOVE — like Colorado, Wisconsin, or Alaska — don’t be surprised if you get scant help from Attorney General Eric Holder.
Waivers can be granted from MOVE only if states find a way to make sure the votes of service members are still counted.
Washington, despite having plenty of time after an August 17 primary to get the job done, received a waiver today. Washington was unwilling to change their schedule of ballot preparation to allow for 45 days mailing time. Though modern printing technology makes the Washington waiver unnecessary, it was granted.

Basically this eliminates the tax advantages of self employed S-corp filers who net less than 200k. It is a net tax increase of about $8,000 on top of all other taxes paid. Keep in mind, all tax brackets go up next year on top of this.
THIS IS A JOB KILLING SMACK DOWN ON SMALL BUSINESSES.
Many S-corp filers are small business owners AND service businesses AND filing in the brackets that are about to increase. I personally used my earnings this year to invest heavily into another small biz and hence created jobs; probably more jobs locally than our idiot stick President did with a trillion dollars (well more jobs than anyone outside of the Friends of Norm Dicks Club anyway).
On top of our job killing Governor who raised the B&O tax impacting basically the same set of businesses, it is as if our state and federal government are declaring war on small businesses.
You lefties may not like my politics- but remember when these taxes kick in, high earners have a choice to NOT invest in our local community and that choice is looking more attractive when "tax" enters the "tax and spend" mantra of our current government. Punish the rich and the rich will punish you many times over, that's how it works. Socialism = bankruptcy because you will run out high earners to tax by 2012.
Sure you hate me, I stand for things you hate like protecting unborn children, affordable medicine, school choices, death being an untaxed life event, and keeping an honest and small government. But why do you hate my employees? Why do you hate the businesses in my supply chain and their employees? Why do you hate the contractor who would remodel my house? Why do you hate the landscaper who would improve my yard (which looks like crap because I work all the time)?
I COULD be spending my summer on a sail boat out in the Sound instead of working 14/7 days. In 2011, that is looking like a very attractive proposition.
I think Obama and Gregoire should start a new tally. Since creating and saving jobs has been an utter failure, they should start counting jobs killed by their policies.
side note: the housing numbers posted today are catastrophic. What did you expect? Why would a high earner go invest in a rental property or larger first home when you are going to take away their ability to pay for it next year?
Well guess what? The following email hit my inbox after posting my skepticism on Mealy. Is this victim of domestic violence "ignorant" too?
"I think that is pure ignorance that anyone would think that a sheriff wouldn't protect someone because of theit political views, this is absurd I think. Go get em Debbie, you have my vote."
I followed up with this emailer to get more info. Reportedly the 911 tape reflected the attack was ongoing DURING the 911 call. Quite a damning testimony on Debbie in my view. Explain this?
"Mealy was the officer who responded to my 911 call when my x was attacking me. Mealy did not even talk to me even though I made the call. She had another officer hold me in the garage while she immediately went to my x instead and began to build a case against me based on the lies my x was telling her. She would not even let me in the main house to tell my side."
Now I'm fairly certain that the "pro Mealy" comments on this blog are from Democrat operatives. I really really really dare you clowns to challenge the "ignorance" of my readers on this issue. Take a look at the Paula Casey code red link if you'd like to play ball with the Pundit readership.
Both candidates move on to the November ballot. Only the justices races are decided in the primary
Incidentally a mandatory recount is required if the race is not decided within 1/4 of 1 percent.
Doing back of the envelope math it looks something like this:
1% of 100k = 1k and 1/4 of that would be 250
There were 60k ballots cast in the Hazard county
That seems straight forward, but there is a lot of room for contention. Ie, post marks, military ballots etc.
Quick- somebody call Dean Logan. Obama may be able to create or save a job for him in the next election cycle.

1. Thurston Judicial Offices were vacant for at least eight years.
2. Thurston Commissioner's likely didn't or don't have one either.
3. All decisions by these judges should be considered nullified during at least an eight year period.
4. Explains why these Hazard County judges aren't too concerned about following the Constitution.
5. They've likely covered their tracks and have back dated oaths on hand now that were just probably "misfiled" at the Sec. of State's office. Oh, BTW, the State office where Thurston Insider Sam Reed recently appointed Nick Handy (Thurston Judge Paula Casey's Husband as our Sate Director of Elections) Good luck getting a fair vote count in November (ala Dino Rossi v. Gregoire).
6. They will hunt me down like a dog and make me pay for standing up to "dem bullies."
7. Who cares, right? Just shut up, drink your Kool Aid, party, jet ski, fornicate and have a good time. Life is short, who cares? Let's just pretend we are free and we live under the rule of law and are protected by the Washington and US Constitutions.
8. A new state "law" will be written amending the constitution stating judges don't need to take a Pesky Oath to actually follow the highest, great law of the land. Nah, that would just get in the way of doing things the Hazard County way.
| Oath of Office || |
Every judge of a superior court shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, take and subscribe an oath that he will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the state of Washington, and will faithfully and impartially discharge the duties of judge to the best of his ability, which oath shall be filed in the office of the secretary of state. Such oath or affirmation to be in form substantially the same as prescribed for justices of the supreme court.
Oath of judges: State Constitution Art. 4 § 28. [1971 c 81 § 5; 1890 p 344 § 15; RRS § 11051.]
[1971 c 81 § 5; 1890 p 344 § 15; RRS § 11051.]
Causes of Vacancy
Every elective office shall become vacant on the happening of any of the following events:
(6) His or her refusal or neglect to take his or her oath of office, or to give or renew his or her official bond, or to deposit such oath or bond within the time prescribed by law;

If you click on his name at the top of the story you can follow it. If you commies on the left actually cared about cleaning up Puget Sound, you'd be running these crooks out of office. All you're getting the Dicks mafia is the tax payers soaked and more dirty water.
Been doing 16 hour work days lately...no time to blog. This one was pretty juicy from friend of the Pundit; Geezer
Commie radio KUOW inadvertantly busted the Norm/David Dicks money train today. I doubt they realize what a glaring comment this is to an out of work Joe Six Pack.
There is a secret trick to getting hired at the PSP... be friends with David Dicks and work on his private campaign projects. The comment comes in context of Dicks shrugging off a whistle blower complaint of PSP time/money/resources/influence being leveraged for doing campaign work for Dicks.
The money comment is this: "Dicks also says he's been friends with (graphic designer) Bridgman much longer than he's been his boss. "
Hmm- a 15 person agency and long time buddies of the director are on the payroll eh? yep- I'm pretty sure being buddies with the Dicks family puts you at the head of the line for any state job. Other candidates need not apply.
Now if you are a glass half full sort of guy; you might be relieved to know that at least there is still one "in" for straight white males to land government jobs. Unfortunately you'll be sad to learn that the designer was posting poetry tweets during work hours; the glass is pretty dang empty for straight guys.
Geezer forwarded the full KUOW text - here.
Though disturbing, this revalation shouldn't be a big shocker as we already knew the trick to getting hired as director of PSP and collecting a big fat salary for setting fire to tax payer money; just be an influential DC insider's son.
Note this is strike two on Dicks using PSP resources for illegal campaign contributions. Recall earlier they bought fleece jackets to reward state legislators for voting the right way.

Really? How about a chance to meet giant GOP failure Michael Steele, Olympia Snowe, or other colossal GOP sell outs who should have be run out on a rail. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we don't have farther left crooks in those seats, but don't sell their wares as the right thing for America because it's pure political poison.
In case the Rossi campaign hasn't noticed, 12% of the conservative base voted elsewhere because they feel Rossi strongly resembles RINO Scott Brown.
To be honest, I will sit on my vote in November if Rossi runs to the middle. It is a losing strategy and I won't participate. Now is the time for stark contrasts between "us" and "them."
Enough independents and so called Dinocrats are tired enough of "them" for "us" to win.
Tell 3/4 ton disappointment Scotty to stay back east where he belongs. Better yet, I'll contribute to the campaign in order to NOT meet Scott Brown.

Ry, I'm proud of you for always "leaving it on the field," always giving it your best and always "coming to play." You were and are always a gamer. Stay strong and live strong, buddy. See you again some day. I know you know I'm always there with you in spirit.
