Action and reaction: democrat style

Action: Norm Dicks ear marks a big fat pile of money for the Puget Sound Partnership.

Reaction: David Dicks gets hired and procedes to run the organization afoul of all laws of accountability, finance and governance.

Action: Norm Dicks ear marks another big fat pile of money for the UW to study environmental flip flap.

Reaction: David Dicks gets a nice kushy job at that the UW in a strangely similar role.

V- day

A salute with a youtube greatest hit....and an all time favorite.

Keep making the other poor bastards die for their moronic causes.

L&I jacks rates by 12%: Atlas responds with a shrug

Barely a week after voters (10% of whom are unemployed) voted to not allow private insurance to compete against the state monopoly, L&I announced it was jacking rates by 12%.

The irony is I was doing the books for the year and looking at the amount of pick pocketing and extortion various state and federal agencies are doing to a side business I own and I had already made the decision to downsize and jettison my hired labor force.

How the math works: If you removed all of the government extortion from the cost side of the work I got rid of, the math justified the time and headache. When you add in the government extortion, my time and money was not really mine, it was the government's; I take all the risk and government employees take too much of the gain. Geeze, with this environment why on earth would I not look to move my labor costs to another state or country?

Granted this is an itty bitty side business and won't shutter Olympia, but you can credit Christine Gregoire for destroying a couple of jobs here locally. How many other itty bitty Atlas's need to shrug before they get a clue?

Don't think I'm shooting myself in the foot to spite government. There are higher value uses of my time and money than dealing with employees.

Democrats: the Lawyers party

An interesting read from the American Thinker (Democrats: the Lawyers party).

These books previously posted over on the Reporter are excellent reads regarding the real impact of having lawyers running all branches of our government.

Excerpt . . .
Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business. Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work. Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

Repeal the monstrosity

WZ reports the SCOTUS has declined to hear an appeal to toss out Obamacare. It looks like this was an ammeter court move by a well intending conservative. We don't need court trickery, we need brash lawmakers with conservative values acting fast and forcefully to get the foot of government off our throats.

Though plenty have already had their rates jacked, I've yet to hear of one person this moronic legislation has helped. Repeal and flush this turd.

Voters mop the floor with Debbie Mealy

I’m holding my applause about the return to conservativism sweeping the country. I think it’s naïve and thick skulled to say that voters are dumb in one election and smart in another. Also I’m waiting to see how well the new House does at stemming the damage of Obama-care as well as their progress in moving forward towards keeping taxes low on the evil rich class of Americans who oppress the rest of America by supplying the best paying jobs in the world (evil bastards).

I am doing back flips in observing that Thurston County voters mopped the floor with Democrat insider Debbie Mealy. Debbie had the exclusive support of Democrat machine cogs such as Clerk Betty Gould who Pundit insiders know for her collusion with Judges on flaunting the law and pulling the curtain closed on any and all public records requests.

Per my opening paragraph, I don’t credit voters with being informed about how horrid Mealy’s views actually are (link) and the vile minions who supported her (link to comments), as this is the same county that elected Superior Court Judge Chris Wickham (pro abortion lawyer who was banging his secretary and then used court strings to screw his wife in divorce) who went on to say that all talk radio time had to be logged as a campaign contribution (he was overturned unanimously by State Supreme Court).

Nay- I am simply very thankful that Debbie Meely creeped out enough voters for Snaza to get elected by a landslide.

Dino's Tea Party Lesson

It's still too early to call for the Dino V Tennis shoe commie race, but the Seattle Times is reporting that the King County "Dinocrats" shrunk by 3% since Dino's race with Gregoire.

To clarify why this is significant to Pundit readers, the result of Dino giving the middle finger to, and snubbing the 6% of Didier conservatives state wide was a net gain of minus 3%.

You read it on the Pundit first, Dino's "run to the middle" and John McCain centrist appeal to everyone approach was a bad idea.

This was the year to take the gloves off and unload the 9 yards on Murray's record and overall approval record of congress.

This "everybody's candidate" approach is also why I did not donate a cent to his campaign this year.

Gregoire Appoints Sutton to Thurston Superior Bench

as reported in the Olympian. "Gregoire appoints Sutton to Superior Court"

I have to give credit where credit is due. This looks like a good appointment by the Governor. Lisa Sutton appears to have the professional credentials and tenure in real areas of law to make a well thought out judge with a rational legal mind. Our peeps had issues with the idea of Schaller obtaining more power to exert more of her bigoted judicial violence from the judge's chair. I don't know Ms. Sutton or anything about her other than what the press release states and no, it doesn't bother me that she was honored for her involvement and leadership in DV awareness at the AG. We all want (real) violent assholes to get theirs. Maybe she will bring a rational mind to the topic and slam men (and women) who actually commit violence before ruining parent/child relationships. Good Luck Ms. Sutton. Treat each party with respect and don't slam men into DV cash cow programs for simply bringing the wrong gender with them into your courtroom. Remember that those little girls violently ripped away from their loving daddy's in family court grow up one day and will be affected by the trauma of the current DV family court agenda. You do that and you will gain the respect of the court watchers and we, the people. Good luck and best wishes to you.
