What the contraception mandate tells us about Obama-care

There are so many things wrong with Obama-care that all one can do is fight like crazy to get it tossed out. But one thing that should really twist your finger about Obama screwing up our health care is the recent mandate to force coverage of contraceptives. While the mandate itself is beyond stupid (it's like the federal government mandating school lunch programs serve mashed potatoes instead of baked potatoes) it demonstrates that Obama-care really wasn't about making health care affordable, it was about getting more power to the central government. Of course, several states are now fighting the mandate.

It demonstrates with clarity that the Obama administration is pure evil.

Follow the logic. Two of the biggest issues making health care unaffordable are
  1. Costs of litigation risks.
  2. Every state mandating a disparate and non standardized set of policies which aren't easily sold across state lines.
The first issue was completely ignored and continues to be ignored. One can only hope we have a government one day that isn't run by trial attorneys and is instead run by constitutionalists, or at least a Texan who will take on the trial attorneys.

The second issue, which touches on state’s rights. Congress chose not to work with the states to standardize insurance guidelines which would make it viable to have a competitive free market, yet with the contraception mandate, they in as much mandated a standardized line item across all states. So much for state's rights eh?

So now it's 2012 and all of our insurance costs have gone up directly because of the mandates in Obama care.  All budgetary indicators show that the program is going to sky rocket in costs and overhead, not to mention destroy private health insurance and it was NOT with the intent to improve the lives of ordinary citizens, it was to consolidate power at the central government.

If this continues, I wonder how many more decades the "great experiment" of America will last.

"OK" Oklahoma

Oklahoma overwhelmingly passes "personhood" bill which declares life begins at conception and protects the helpless, unborn babies from the brutal abortion murder.  All is not lost in the USA!  Yay for Oklahoma!  Let's hope other state's will follow this moral and ethical example of responsible legislation despite the bully squad of self centered gender feminists that promote and demand laws to murder unborn babies. Good for Oklahoma.  Praise God! All is not lost in this country.

Let's ban plastic bags

Here's another Libtard idea . . . ban plastic bags.  Aren't the 'tards all about saving the trees?  I guess paper bags will be next.  What they really want is to force you to bring your own dirty, Evergreen State College logo'd  hemp bags to Safeway to bring home your groceries.  Why?  Because the libtards say so.  Yet another, we're in charge now and you'll do what we say now from the party of intolerance and perversity.  Never mind plastic is completely recyclable and regenerated into plastic products again and again.

Seriously, they have no rational argument except exaggerated stories of a whale's stomach contents that died and washed up on the shore.  Really?  Did scientific research confirm their claims about the amount of plastic and determine the cause of death?  Could it have been the sweat pants also found in it's stomach or perhaps just age or disease?  So, here is a classic Olympian Newspaper headline that typifies the libtard mouthpiece . . . RESEARCH backs plastic ban.  So, of course, the LibtardCity city council (along with Bellingham and a few others) is considering a city vote to ban plastic bags since they couldn't get the state to do it that would have shut down several employers in our state.  Research?  What research?  Economy, jobs and government debt?  Huh?  Masters of distraction.

Crushing the Constitution and Religious freedoms in America

. . . the only thing missing are the horns…tails… red pitchforks.  Invisible to many.

It's clear that Obama's years of Constitutional Law study was not designed to train him to work within it but rather around it.  That much is clear about Obama.
As the ACLJ points out.  Isn't it ironic that the Libs are now promoting government control of free speech?  Hasn't it always been liberals telling us to keep religion out of politics, legislation and government? Now, our liberal president and his administration have proven that they are committed to trying to do just that. The federal government has targeted Catholics and pro-life religiously affiliated organizations, schools, and hospitals by using the power granted to the executive branch in ObamaCare, underscoring warnings made by the ACLJ and other organizations that the 2,700+ page law was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to the new power made available to the federal government. Most importantly, it grants broad administrative regulatory authority that bypasses Congress.... Read More at ACLJ.ORG

Remaining on this topic of Birth Control and Religious Freedoms. . . A special word of thanks to the Storman Family for fighting back on the issue in their legal fight against our esteemed state government who is lock step with the Obama Stormtroopers.  Storman's was just named Grocer of the Year by the Washington Food Industry Association.  The Storman's give very generously to this community including the TC Food Bank.  They were always a given when counting advertising dollars for the Little League budget.  If you don't like them, shop elsewhere.  If you need to kill the seed you irresponsibly created, you can buy the morning after pill elsewhere.  That's America.  That's the FREE market.  BTW, I find it very ironic that the Rainbow Coilition is so tied up in knots over "reproductive rights."  Really?  Last I checked it takes more than two vaginas to create a life.  Just sayin'

Obama Orwellian Truth Squads deployed to silence the lambs.

Meanwhile Rome (Greece) burns, economies teeter on collapse, nuclear showdown nears in the Middle East and locally our Democrat party leader Gregoire (who claims to know better than God, the Bible and the Church she claims to affiliate with) ushers in Homosexual marriage in Washington State.

Oh, those silly end times conspiracy theorists.  Poof!

Let's also not forget the budget or lack there of.  State's are in the red and the Federal government debt is enormous all the while the economy SUCKS!!!!  So, we focus on these stupid social issues that are important to the Libtards.  Never mind the economic engine of this country.  Let's attack the religious freedoms under the guise of women's rights and create a huge distraction from what really matters right now . . . jobs and our livelihoods.  WTF!!!!!!

Nanny State

I went to order new carpet for a 12x12 room in our last week.  You now have to pay a federal EPA mandated $16 lead assessment fee for any contractor work on your house if it was built before 1978.  I'm pretty sure I had this checked when I bought the house a decade ago and I'm not sure how they would detect it when I replaced half the drywall since then.  Also how are the carpet monkeys qualified to perform this test?  The last guys who installed carpet at our house weren't even qualified to install carpet w/out being called back 3 times to fix their own shoddy work.

I'm also not sure how many times we all have to pay this fee again and again but we can all feel better that the federal government is keeping us safe when we put new carpet in our houses.  That's EXACTLY what the founding fathers envisioned the federal government doing when they drafted the constitution.

I'm just amazed they didn't ask me to get my septic tank pumped before having the carpet installed.  Of course I am buyng this carpet w/out checking with the county for a permit.  Shhh.  Don't tell.

Commentary on the Josh Powell case

There is no connecting the dots to Josh Powell and the formation of public policy. I reject and refute any attempt to do so as well as any attempt to us that case to further restrict and encumber the rights of fathers in custody battles without due process and the rights afforded to US citizens under the US and (any) State constitution.

It should be obvious, but I'll explain.

1- The likes of Josh Powell and Scott Peterson are examples of psychopathic monsters. Note that these killers never lost custody their kids w/out due process. There were NO warning signs. Their marriages were not in disarray.

2- In contrast to those monsters, every father I've worked with in the fight for fathers rights has literally surrendered every worldly possession for the sake of having more time with their kids; it is a Saint like suffering somewhere between Job and Jesus. NEVER in a million years would the men (and many women) fighting to have equal time with their kids harm their children.

There is a reason I don't blog on these cases: we should no sooner form public policy around the actions of Josh Powell than we should for the actions Casey Anthony.

I'm too frugal to buy a Harley, except

...I'm considering getting one for the sake of going up to an #occupy camp and revving the engine at full volume at 4:00 am.  Perhaps some uncorked headers on the 460 and an air horn will suffice.

Susan G Komen does the WRONG thing- panders back up to the abortion mill

I am always skeptical of the charity industry.  I normally don't give money to the billboard charities because I don't like paying for billboards, overhead, desk jockeys and in the case of pre Feb 2012 Susan G Komen, the abortion mills of planned parenthood.

The Komen foundation dropped  reamplified their support of planned parenthood this week.  Hurray.  It was the right absolutely the wrong thing to do.   I will now stop  continue boycotting the pink ribbon products.
